In the movie "Night of the Living Dead", a group of people are trapped in a farmhouse that is being invaded by zombies. In the end, the only survivor is the teenage boy, named Tommy. He manages to kill all of the zombies that are attacking him. In the end, his father dies from a bite from a zombie.

Tommy is able to pull himself together and protect his family from further zombie attacks. Through this, he overcomes his grief that he has suffered in the past when his father died.
